Abel Ruiz viaja a Nueva York con LaLiga Promises


Durante el fin de semana del 8 al 10 de junio se celebra en Nueva York el IV Torneo Internacional de la Liga Promises. Gracias a la colaboración de la Fundación de José Ramón de la Morena y de LaLiga, Abel Ruiz Ortega podrá acompañar a los 16 equipos que participarán en esta edición.

En 2012, Abel jugó este torneo, celebrado en la ciudad malagueña de Benalmádena, donde su equipo logró alcanzar la final y el almussafense fue premiado como mejor jugador del campeonato.

Estos son los 16 equipos participantes en el IV Torneo Internacional:

· Atlético Madrid

The success of the Atletico Madrid first team this season is a reflection of the great job being done in the youth setup, which has produced players of the likes of Saul, Koke and Fernando Torres who serve as a source of inspiration for these Rojiblanco youngsters.

· Club América

CF America, a team with no shortage of history and an impressive trophy haul over the years, will add a dash of Mexican spice to the tournament. Mexico's starlets will be represented by one of the top clubs on the American continent, and one intent on making its mark on this edition of LaLiga Promises.

· FC Barcelona

Players from one of the academies with the greatest potential in the world head into this tournament as favourites to go all the way, as they did in the last edition held in New Jersey. Their attractive passing game will be on display in the United States once again.

· FC Internazionale Milano

The Italians represent the Calcio in this edition of LaLiga Promises. The unmistakable essence of the team and the passion they bring to everything they do will undoubtedly give us a wealth of moments and players to remember during this special event.

· FC Oporto

The Portuguese side head into the competition looking to prove that they have one of the most powerful academies in Europe and will do their utmost to show us why Portugal's players hold their place among the international elite.

· Ironbound SC

Ironbound will act as hosts of the 4th LaLiga Promises International Tournament in New Jersey for the second year running. Their mission in the competition will be to enjoy themselves and learn from the very best.

· JEF United Ichihara Chiba

Japanese glee and enthusiasm will flood New Jersey's Frank Sinatra Park as JEF United's youngsters head to the United States keen to learn and enjoy themselves.

· Liverpool FC

The mythical 'You’ll never walk alone' will also ring out at LaLiga Promises with the presence of Liverpool's youngsters. The Reds make the trip from Merseyside to offer us a taste of English football tradition and the fast-paced game of the Premier League.

· New York City

New York City will be one of the hosts of the 4th LaLiga Promises International Tournament, where the young New Yorkers will try to emulate the actions of their Asturian idol David Villa.

· New York Red Bulls

The New York Red Bulls will accompany the other home team, New York City, and fight to carve out a place for themselves among the top sides on the world stage.

· RCD Espanyol

Los Pericos' academy is one of the most prolific in Spain and they will head across the pond with a view to showing off their game and the values drilled into them from a young age at Espanyol.

· Real Madrid

One of the most prestigious European outfits will stake their claim by fielding one of their Under-12s sides, meaning that we are assured imaginative, quality football. Finalists in the previous edition, they will undoubtedly be one of the greatest exponents of the high level of skill which exists in Spain.

· Sevilla FC

With the passion and intensity of the young players from Nervion, the Sevillian outfit will once again represent Andalusia in the 4th LaLiga Promises International Tournament in New Jersey. With their artistic streak both on and off the pitch, Sevilla will look to play a leading role in this great competition.

· SL Benfica

One of Portuguese football's greatest assets will once again be looking to make life difficult for the rest of the teams at the 4th LaLiga Promises International Tournament in New Jersey, where their sportsmanship and talent will be on display yet again.

· Valencia CF

Carlos Soler, Gaya and Lato took part in previous editions of LaLiga Promises, setting the example to follow for these young under-12s who take their cue from the first team players.

· Villarreal CF

After hosting the national edition, Villarreal go stateside as one of the greatest exponents of Spanish football's combination game.
